Matthew 13

Matthew 13.  This chapter starts with Jesus telling the parable of the sower and then he explains the parable.  The question you have to ask yourself after reading this is “What kind of soil am I?”  Or as explained, “What kind of heart do I have for the Lord?”

The other parables in the chapter speak of the judgment day and how the Lord will call his own and the rest will be cast into the fire. This still puts the fear into me!  I feel like I have grown in the confidence of my salvation, however, the thought of eternal punishment scares me to death.  I used to be afraid of the fire.  I am still afraid of the fire but I fear being separated from my God who loves me and who daily takes care of me.

Have a great day,

Doug.
