Matthew 22

Matthew 22, this is a chapter of test for Jesus, by the Pharisees and Sadducees.  They were actually trying to trap him with their questions.

The first part of the chapter continues with the idea at the end of chapter 22 that the Jews have rejected Jesus as the Messiah.  In 22, the call is described as a wedding feast in which the chosen ones (Jews) had declined an invitation to the party.  After sending messengers twice, the call was then given to go get anyone who was interested in attending (gentiles).

There is also a warning that even among the gentiles that choose to attend, not all were welcome.  Not all that came in had chosen to accept and wear the wedding garments as required.  Not everyone that calls on the name of the Lord is willing to put on Christ and accept his grace.

Have a great day,
